Common questions

What is SecureMyEmail?
SecureMyEmail is an Australian security audit service for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, run personally by Neil Frick, a CISSP-qualified security practitioner.
Who is the audit for?
Australian small and medium businesses — legal and real estate, accounting, financial services, healthcare, trades, manufacturing and general SMBs — typically with 1 to 50+ staff and no dedicated security team.
Is the audit read-only?
Yes. The audit is a point-in-time, read-only review. No settings are changed during the audit; you receive a prioritised remediation plan instead.
Is this an ongoing service, or a one-off check?
It's a point-in-time audit — a deep, specialist check of your environment against recognised security baselines, delivered as a plain-English report. It's not a subscription and there's no ongoing contract.
We already have an IT provider — don't they handle this?
Generalist IT providers manage uptime and support tickets, not dedicated security audits. This audit complements your existing provider — it doesn't replace them. Think of it as a second, specialist set of eyes.
Is this just a sales pitch to scare us into a bigger contract?
No. You get a findings report either way, and there's no obligation to buy anything further. If your environment comes back clean, we'll tell you that too.
I'm not technical — will I even understand the report?
Yes. The report is written in plain English, not security jargon. You'll know exactly what the issue is, why it matters, and what to do about it — no CISSP required to read it.
We're a small business — are we really a target?
Yes, precisely because smaller businesses tend to have weaker defences. Business Email Compromise and phishing scams don't discriminate by company size — they go where the gaps are.
